Dear Parents and Guardians,

We want to extend a sincere thank you for your cooperation and patience during arrival and dismissal. We know that the beginning and end of the school day can be a busy time, and we greatly appreciate your efforts in following the established procedures. Your commitment to these guidelines is essential for keeping every one of our students safe.

The procedures we have in place are designed to ensure a smooth, secure, and orderly arrival and dismissal for all students, from our youngest Pre-K learners to our oldest 8th graders. Following these rules helps us to account for every child and manage traffic flow effectively, minimizing wait times and, most importantly, preventing accidents.

This school year at Arrival:

  • School doors open at 9:00 a.m. Students are considered tardy after 9:15.

  • From this point on, we will not be allowing parents to walk their child to class. We have staff stationed all throughout the building, as well as assigned escorts, to ensure your child makes it to their class safely. It is important that children become independent and familiar with school rules and procedures, even at the youngest ages.

This school year at Dismissal:

  • We are seeing an increased number of student pick-ups by families walking up to the door. This requires us to adjust our dismissal procedures on a daily basis which creates an on the fly adjustment to the process.  We request your patience as we adjust the plan.

  • We are seeing an increased number of dismissal changes occurring daily. We understand you may need to adjust your plan on occasion, however, consistency will help the school’s dismissal process flow smoothly.

  • If you are changing your dismissal plan, please contact the main office directly by 1:00 PM. Teachers cannot adjust dismissal plans.

  • We are requiring parents to wait outside the school building while your child is being dismissed.

Please continue to help us by:

  • Displaying your student number card clearly so our staff can quickly identify your student. If you do not have your card or know your child’s number, please contact the main office.

  • Utilizing the car pickup lane at the entrance on the opposite end of the field.

  • Pulling all the way forward to the designated loading zone to keep the line moving.

  • Remaining in your vehicle to allow staff to assist your child.

  • Driving slowly and attentively while on school grounds.

Your support makes a significant difference. Together, we can maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process for our entire school community. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. Thank you!
